FYI this is very close to being spoiler-free, and based on the first two episodes of The Traitors, both of which are on BBC iPlayer.
Last year, I worried that the second series of The Traitors could not live up to the first. If the new contestants already know the game, I thought, and know how it comes across on television, and therefore have a clear understanding of how they are perceived both in the room and by the public, then how could it ever be as good as it was before? Yet again I was wrong ever to doubt it. After the first episode ended without revealing who had been banished, I rushed to iPlayer for resolution, only to be denied because it looks as if everyone else was doing the exact same thing.
This led me to think that The Traitors shouldn't be on iPlayer in advance at all, because there are few truly communal…
