Do you stick with books, even if you're not enjoying them? Or do you give up after a few pages, if the story hasn't grabbed you immediately? This is the kind of personality test I believe in. I wish I could chuck things away with abandon, but I tend to be more of a persevere-er, glumly ploughing my way through a miserable novel just because I started it. I can't bear to think that the time I have already put into it will have been wasted. It's the sunk cost fallacy, I know. But I still believe that, with enough practice, with enough confidence, with enough maturity, I could become a giver-upper. Giving up is chic, and I aspire to it.
