For UK readers, and international readers with a niche interest in the continuing award-winning magnetism of Ant & Dec, the TV Baftas have rolled around again. For those not familiar with the TV Baftas, they’re like the Emmys, if the Emmys were wearing a cardigan. TV moves so fast that it always feels weird to be looking at shows that were released in 2024 (the eligibility window is January 1st to December 31st 2024), particularly the stuff that came out early in that period, such as Mr Bates and Baby Reindeer. But as with all awards ceremonies, this does serve as a useful reminder of stuff to catch up on, as well as handing out the more obvious pats on the back.
